Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
This term is typically used when addressing education policy and curriculum choices in schools to improve competitiveness in science and technology development. This education policy and curriculum was later then implemented in the Philippines were students moving up to senior high school are encouraged to take the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (Stem) strand to help the country be a leader in innovation and competitiveness.
Now the STEM strand has been one of the most chosen strand among junior high school students for it helps the students to be globally competent in terms in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. this can make the Philippines innovation-driven and has access to quality education in other disciplinary knowledge which is important in our nation’s development.
